Jimmy wins the 2024 Race Across America!

After pedaling the 3,063 miles from Oceanside, Jimmy rode onto the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk as the first-place Solo Male Under 50 rider and overall solo winner of the 2024 Race Across America.  His time of 8 Days, 18 hours, and 11 minutes is the fastest since 2019 when 6-time solo winner Christoph Strasser (Austria)  won the race.  Jimmy’s fast finish is all the more impressive considering this was his first RAAM, “I’m a rookie. My team is all rookies. But we did our homework, read about it, and studied about it. So it felt like I thought it would. To ride your bike across a continent is really quite crazy.”

2023 – Winner of Race Around Poland WUCA World Champinion

On July 22th, Jimmy crossed the finish line in Warsaw as the winner of Race around Poland, and the winner of the first WUCA ultra cycling world championships! Jimmy rode an almost perfect race, and took a convincing lead on day three after successfully chasing down Rainer Steinberger to gain the first spot. “To me, anyone that managed to finish the 3618km route is a winner!” Jimmy says. “This was an extremely challenging race with a really though parcourse where I, and my five person team, was forced to dig deeper than ever before to reach the finish line. Also, kudos to Reiner and his awesome team. they rode a great race, and I believe we put up a hell of a show all the way to the end!” Jimmy completed the 3618km course in 163 hours, 26 minutes and 35 seconds.

2022 – Winner of Race Across Germany

On July the 3rd, Jimmy crossed the finish line in Garmisch Partenkirchen as the winner of the 2022 Race across Germany! With a time of 38h 42min, Jimmy was, by far, the fastest solo rider on the 1113km course stretching between Flensburg and Garmisch.
In his first true ultracycling competitive event, he managed to complete the race according to the plan, and despite technical cycling on small roads in hilly terrain he was able to sustain a rolling average speed of 29.9 km/h with a total stop time of only 1h 5min!

2021  – New FKT on Length of Sweden

The start of my Ultracycling journey! In June 2021 I made an attempt to beat the record of the length of Sweden: Smygehuk-Treriksröset, 2040 km and 14000 vm. Our plan worked perfectly, and I managed to shave 9 hours off the old record and set a new fastest known time (FKY) at 73h:37min. What an experience, worldclass support in a small package. Henrik and Mattias, true heroes! For more info on this event, please visit Instagram: Sverige_sub_80

2019 – Tour de Mont Blanc – ”The world’s toughest one day bike race”

A great turning 40 gift from co-workers!  My first +300km bike race, 340km and 8500 vm. Despite some logistics issues, I finished in style in 12th place.

Cykelcity.se 2009-2019 – Vätternrundan 300 KM – “The world´s largest recreational bike event

I’ve done this thing 10 times now and on numerous times on sub 7h as part of the fastest group. This event is a big thing in Sweden, and every year it attracts a great lineup of strong riders that push themselves to the limit to beat the course record. I love this race!

2011 Competing for continental team Cykelcity.se

I was fortunate enough to compete for Swedens only continental team at the time. These were great times, and we achieved a lot that year:

  • Won a Nationals Gold medal in the men’s team individual TT competition together with Sebastian Balck and Fredrik Ericsson.
  • Participated in the 27th. TD Bank International Cycling Championship, Philadelphia, US. (1.HC). (249.6km) 54place
  • Won the Tartu Rattaralli race of the Estonian cycling weekend.
