-As some of you may know, my long-term goal is to participate and compete at the highest level in
the Race across America. As this is a big undertaking which will require substantial funding and a lot
of project planning, I am planning to make a run for the 2024 edition. Therefore, 2023 will be a lead-
up to RAAM, where we have set two important partial goals:
Firstly, I will do a 24h supported time trial with the aim of passing the 500 miles mark. The main
rationale for this effort is to test my new materials and nutrition in a race-like setting. I am aiming to
do this sometime in the April-May timeframe. Stay tuned for more info!
My main goal for 2023 is to participate in the 2023 WUCA world ultracycling championship. This race
is held in Poland with a start date of July 15 th . With its 3600km course packing a whopping 31.000
vertical meters, this may be the perfect dress rehearsal for RAAM! My aim is to compete at the
highest level in this event and we’re aiming for the podium. Fingers crossed!
